Just 11 months after the installation of 10 regenerative structures known as Life Boosting Units, Puerto Banús has doubled its marine biodiversity. A total of 56 species have now been identified—up from an initial 34—with 71% of this biodiversity concentrated at the outer harbour entrance. The initiative marks a significant step in restoring ecological balance and enhancing underwater life.

Reforestation Efforts in the Sierra de Mijas
Cívitas Puerto Banús led a reforestation initiative in the fire-affected Sierra de Mijas, bringing together 50 volunteers to plant 80 native species. The day also featured “super seed” workshops aimed at raising environmental awareness and promoting long-term ecosystem restoration.
‘Restauramar’ Exhibition Raises Ocean Awareness
From October 30 to November 4, Puerto Banús hosted the traveling exhibition Restauramar at the Club de Mar. Organized in collaboration with Aula del Mar and Málaga+Viva, the event offered free activities focused on marine biodiversity, oceanic challenges, and sustainable practices—fostering ecological consciousness in the community.
Team-Building Regatta with Try Sail
On October 18, Puerto Banús held a team-building regatta for its Customer Service and Marina teams in partnership with Try Sail. The event included a morning of sailing followed by lunch designed to strengthen internal communication and collaboration.
Maiti Nepal Charity Gala Returns to Puerto Banús
For the second consecutive year, Puerto Banús hosted the Maiti Nepal charity dinner on September 9, raising over €80,000 for Teresa Academy in Nepal. The funds support efforts to combat the trafficking of women and girls.
