Puerto Banús supports the children’s cause promoted by Chefs for Children for the benefit of Juegaterapia and Down Spain

Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages is essential for sustainable development.

For this reason, Puerto Banús has sponsored Chefs For Children for two years (2019 & 2020), a solidarity project in which gastronomy and children are the protagonists.

Chefs For Children has set itself the goal of conveying to the youngest in the house the importance of good nutrition, without leaving aside those who need it most and, to get there, they collaborate with the best chefs in Spain to be able to bring this message to the little ones in a fun way.

To achieve this, Chefs For Children organises solidarity galas where the stars of Spanish cuisine altruistically collaborate supporting Juegaterapia, a spanish organisation with a mission to make the lives of children with cancer undergoing chemotherapy, happier and more fun, and can battle this illness with more energy and positivity.

The funds raised throughout the galas has been destined towards the construction of a 600 meter squared garden on the hospital rooftop at Materno Infantil de Málaga, so that the children who have to stay during various days and even months in these facilities to receive oncological treamtent, can go outside to play and battle the illness in a more pleasant way.

For Puerto Banús, the two objectives of Chefs for Children are important in our society and a great responsibility. Through the slogan of the action, ‘Eating healthy is fun’ and the fun activities that are organised, healthy eating and lifestyle are promoted and, the truth is, children have a great time in the kitchen!
