This Easter, a unique event will be arriving to Cívitas Puerto Banús: Born to Surprise market. With the arrival of spring, some of the best national design talents gather at the marina.

From April 6th to 9th, at the Muelle de Honor in Cívitas Puerto Banús you will be able to enjoy an exclusive selection of items created by emerging designers. We want Born to Surprise market to be an opportunity for excellent quality products and national design created by artists to gain visibility. In this market, you will find all kinds of products: textiles, fashion, accessories, jewelry, crafts, art, cosmetics, and music, among others.

 

Born to Surprise calendar of dates and times:

-From April 6 to April 8: from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • BUMPERS BRAND. Málaga fashion firm for men and women that seeks to convey a life without prejudice or censorship.
  • JULIETA BRAND. Málaga slow fashion brand that creates super feminine garments with an Andalusian essence and a lot of vibes.
  • ALTERNATIVX. A new genderless fashion firm where all its garments are made in Spain.
  • JEI BRAND. A new local Made in Spain men’s fashion firm using high quality materials.

  • DANIEL CHONG. Fashion and accessories made from recycled garments and materials and created in a sustainable way.

Live concerts in Cívitas Puerto Banús

At Born to Surprise market, in addition to top designers, we have prepared a series of very special free concerts. This market will also bring concerts by artists such as Dry Martina from Málaga, singer-songwriter star and Spanish artist awarded with two MIN independent music awards, Shining Soul, formed by Adriana Rogan together with the instrumental base of Malaka Youth, Fran Terrén, singer and composer from Málaga and Soleá Morente, one of the essential artists of current flamenco who describes her art as a combination of flamenco and rock. Jazz, pop, rock, flamenco and soul and DJ sets… all on the same stage to have non-stop music.

Gastronomy and activities for the whole family

Gastronomy will also play a leading role in this emerging design market. From Thursday to Sunday there will be a gastronomic exhibition in food truck format, and it will feature the gastronomic proposal of Roostiq Marbella, which will present some of its most representative dishes. There will also be a cocktail bar, Nómada, offering sustainable drinks, where they will use all the raw materials from fruit juice to the skins to make different saccharum oils, perfect for the hot Easter afternoons.

Watercolor painting masterclass

Paco Hernández, (@imperfeccionismo_controlado) watercolourist born in the city of Murcia, and adopted son of Málaga, will give a masterclass for children and adults on watercolour painting at Born to Surprise. Paco will paint live and anyone who wants to paint with him can bring their material to accompany him. Will you be joining to bring out your most creative side?

  • Every day (Thursday 6, Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9)
  • At 4:00 p.m.
  • Adults and children welcome
  • Each person must bring their material
    – Watercolours
    – Watercolour brushes (various sizes)
    – Watercolour paper or block
    – Pencil

Paco Hernández is a Spanish artist specialised in watercolor. Illustrator and Urban Sketcher, winner of different prizes and artistic recognitions. Two important aspects that speak for themselves can be extracted from his artistic works: dynamism and lights. He has also carried out workshops in different places, highlighting those carried out in the “Picasso birthplace museum” in Malaga.
