Puerto Banús has twice (2019 and 2022) hosted an Inclusive Sailing Day, in which dozens of people with disabilities have been able to enjoy a unique experience in contact with nature and the sea.
Our marina has thus committed itself to giving visibility to the work carried out by associations such as Aspandem, the Malaga center dedicated to providing care to families and people with disabilities.
Aspandem’s mission is “to normalize the living conditions of people with disabilities whom it serves, regardless of the type, degree of involvement and age, and also counting on their wishes, self-determination and aspirations. All these purposes are included in the statutes of the Association.
In the most recent day of inclusive navigation, more than fifty people with different abilities enjoyed a unique experience aboard a catamaran, which left Puerto Banús to take a ride in search of dolphin sightings.
The main objective of this collaboration between Puerto Banús and local non-profit associations is to promote the social integration of this group and offer users the opportunity to enjoy this experience, bringing them closer to living with nature and the sea. These Inclusive Sailing Days in Puerto Banús are possible thanks to the support of several local nautical companies, who donate the boats in solidarity.
We want to continue doing this activity year after year!
