Cívitas Puerto Banús has hosted, for the second consecutive year, the recent VI Maiti Nepal Charity Gala in which funds have been raised to cover, for another year, the costs involved in the optimal operation of the Teresa Academy school.
On September 9th, 250 people gathered at the marina harbour to attend the Maiti Nepal charity dinner, a non-profit organization that combats the exploitation, violence and trafficking of women and children throughout Nepal, with headquarters in Kathmandu.
Thus, and to support the objective of the Maiti Nepal foundation, which was born in 1993 thanks to its founder Anuradha Koirala, CNN Hero of the Year in 2010, and its main objective, to prevent human trafficking for forced prostitution, Cívitas Puerto Banús lends its space for the celebration of the VI Maiti Nepal Charity Gala, attended by businessmen from Madrid, Marbella and surrounding areas, and in which they managed to raise, once again, more than €80,000 to make it possible for the school in Maiti Nepal continue working.
