Puerto Banús is the first Spanish marina to offer advanced surveillance and security service, strengthening our commitment to safety and operational excellence. We have launched a new maritime security and surveillance service, aimed at improving navigation control and preventing unauthorized access to the marina.
Starting in July 2024, this initiative ensures compliance with port navigation regulations—particularly speed limits—and addresses the challenges posed by high seasonal traffic. The service operates daily from 12:00 to 20:00 during the summer months (June to September), when vessel activity is at its peak.
A key feature of this program is the deployment of jet ski patrols, making Puerto Banús the first marina in Spain to offer this type of waterborne security. Operated by certified security personnel with nautical qualifications, the jet skis allow for agile monitoring within the port’s sheltered waters and its entrance channel.
The service, provided in partnership with PROSEGUR, offers several benefits:
- Enforcing speed limits and navigation rules
- Preventing unauthorized entry by small boats and jet skis without berths
- Reducing theft and robbery risks on vessels
- Supporting emergency response through coordination with the Marine Department and Security Control Centre
Puerto Banús is the first Spanish marina to offer this advanced surveillance and security service and since its implementation, Puerto Banús has already seen a significant drop in rule violations, reinforcing its role as a leader in maritime safety and innovation.
