To mark our 50th birthday, Puerto Banús has designed a great celebration which will start with the launch of our advertising spot. Our worldwide communication campaign is pleased to welcome Lady Kitty Spencer as our special guest.
Model, style icon, niece of Princess Diana, and the face of firms such as Bulgari and Dolce & Gabbana. Now, she has also become the ideal centre for our advertising campaign directed at attracting the millennial audience.
Spencer penetrates the camera with her gaze and smile, and feels happy to be able to share “a place as marvellous and with such an exciting story as Puerto Banús” with her generation. Lady Kitty Spencer is the epitome of the values which have always characterised Puerto Banús: sophistication, authenticity and passion for unique experiences.
She took part in filming our spot, with which we will promote the port and Marbella as a single luxury destination. Spencer enjoyed the wonderful sun and climate of Marbella in the middle of February, as well as the most emblematic points of the city and the marina. Next, you can see how we made our “Have a Great Day” campaign.
2020, a 50th Anniversary of international reach
During her visit, Spencer accompanied Juan Núñez-Insausti, CEO of Puerto Banús, at the press conference where they presented the highlights of the 50th Anniversary to national and international media.
Núñez-Insausti announced some of the main lines of 2020: “We will continue our commitment to attracting the best gastronomy, enhancing our portfolio of luxury brands even further if indeed this is possible, and encouraging mew events that make the destination less seasonal”. The communication campaign will be launched at the end of March and will feature the main attractions that make Puerto Banús and Marbella a lodestar of international luxury. Over the course of 2020, Puerto Banús will host numerous events which will strengthen our nautical, shopping, restaurant and sports offering.
50 years of Europe’s most exclusive marina
This anniversary is a look to the future, but we will also recall some unique moments in our history. For many years, Puerto Banús has been a major player in the development of Marbella as a luxury destination of reference. Over its first half-century, Puerto Banús has been the meeting point of the great and the good of international society. Since its inauguration in 1970 it has welcomed visitors of renown such as Prince Rainier of Monaco and Grace Kelly, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía, Maria Callas, Audrey Hepburn, the Aga Khan, Lola Flores, Lady Gaga, Liza Minelli, Zinedine Zidane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and many others.
