Artola Dunes Cleaning with Puerto Banús
On Saturday, 26th October 2024, Puerto Banús and the ProDunas Association are hosting a special environmental restoration day at the Artola Dunes Natural Monument. This initiative is key to renewing the Q for Tourism Quality Certification (ISO 13009:2016), which guarantees the excellent management of this protected area.

What activities will we undertake?
- Dune cleaning: We will remove waste to preserve this ecosystem.
- Pine needle cleaning: We will clear pine needles to reduce the risk of fires.
- Beach cleaning and invasive species eradication: We will collect microplastics and eliminate invasive plants such as canes and lantanas, protecting the area around the Torre de los Ladrones.
What’s included in this activity and what do I need to bring?
- Free activity for the whole family.
- All necessary materials and tools are included and will be provided upon arrival (work gloves, litter pickers, rakes, buckets and baskets…)
- Use sports shoes
- We recommend comfortable sports clothing (long trousers)
We count on your help to maintain the 200,000 square metres of the Natural Monument in optimal condition. Environmental experts will guide us throughout the day.
